2019 ECHO Board Nominations Form

The ECHO Nominating Committee is soliciting names of candidates for positions on the ECHO Board of Directors for the term 2020 to 2022.  You are encouraged to submit as much information as possible to enable the committee to evaluate the candidate’s qualifications.  Supplemental information about candidates may be attached to this form. Applications will be open through September and elections will be held immediately thereafter via proxy.  Ballots will be counted at the annual meeting, November 14, 2019.  The new terms begin January 1, 2020. Candidate information should be submitted using the form below:

2019 Echo Annual Meeting and Election of Board Members

 
The Echo Board of Directors has set the Annual Meeting for 9:00 a.m., November 14, 2019. The agenda will include:
 
  1. Review and approval of prior year minutes
  2. A count of proxy votes for the election of board members
  3. Count of votes of those present at the meeting for election of the board members
  4. Announcement of the newly elected board members, and 
  5. A brief financial review.
 
The meeting will be held at the Echo Office: 1671 The Alameda, #205, San Jose. 
 
The voting period for the election of Echo board of director members will begin on October 7, 2019 and continue until 9:15 a.m. on November 14, 2019. All proxies and votes must be received by Echo within this period. 
 
Please note that according to the Echo Bylaws, Article 4.1:  “A Voting Member” shall mean and refer to a nonprofit corporation or unincorporated association created for the purpose of managing a common interest development subject to the Act who has applied for and become a Voting Member of ECHO.”  The Act is the Davis Stirling Act and the voting member is therefore the HOA; a vote shall represent a majority of the HOA board.  No other class of membership has voting rights.
